PPRII is having mandate to identify the problem area and conduct research around that. The outcome of these research will provide policymakers with pragmatic, action-oriented recommendations for alleviating the problem.

Our focus areas are agriculture, hi-tech farming, health and social issues. These areas may further expand to ensure the happiness in the society.

The team will put effort to identify the issues in the targeted area and study the probable cause of the problem. Post identification, the team will conduct research around the problem and propose the most efficient solution for the problem.

Hydroponic growing system is one of the most efficient growing system available on earth, even on march too. Success of any hydroponic project depends on two factors, one is hardware i.e. all infrastructure like growing system, protected cultivation structure, irrigation system , fogging system etc. and second is software i.e. how to grow crop like which crop, which variety, sowing time, temperature, humidity, nutrition etc. Software i.e. how to grow crop contribute around 80% in the success of any hydroponic project and rest 20% comes from hardware.

PPRII is on a mission to ensure success of any hydroponic project by extending growing services to the growers.

Crop nutrient management is the heart of Hydroponic growing system. An efficient management of crop nutrition will leads to a successful crop production in any hydroponic growing system. The knowledge around crop nutrition is really a complex and it required a simplified tool to develop crop and project specific fertilizer recipe. PPRII in collaboration with The Khetibadiwal has developed a fertilizer recipe designing tool, which can be used by the grower to develop their own fertilizer recipe.

PPRII is extending customized fertilizer recipe designing service for the growers. In this service the grower can develop their own fertilizer recipe with The Khetibadiwala.

This service will include hand holding till standardize the designed fertilizer recipe.

In past decade Hydroponic has taken lead in Urban society. Hydroponic projects are installed in metro cities. Some of these projects are doing good and most of them are struggling. Lack of technical knowledge is one of the major cause for the problem. In most of the cases, the agency/investor are trying to copy existing model without performing the required adaptations.

It is required to design the hydroponic project in such a way that it ensure delivery of desired results. PPRII is having capability to adapt the project as per the crop growing requirements.

This service include the audit of the project design and adapting the project as per the crop and area requirements.

The basic understanding of Hydroponic growing techniques is "growing crop without soil" is hydroponics.

In traditional farming, the soil is working as a buffering agent and it absorbs all the shock due to the error committed by the grower. The shock beyond the capacity of soil only reflects on the crop performance. As the soil is missing in hydroponic growing system, there is a need to be precise in growing crop in hydroponic growing system.

The basic concept of hydroponic techniques is "efficient management of plant root". This techniques is indirectly associated with shoot, but directly associated with root. This techniques provides full control to the grower. So, the technical definition of Hydroponics is "Creating better micro-climate around root zone".

Statistics is the science concerned with developing and studying methods for collecting, analyzing, interpreting and presenting empirical data.

Research is the foundation for the future development and without use of appropriate statistical tool, it is difficult to reach of the accurate research outcome.
